We had a great turn out for our 8th Grade Parent Night on Dec 5, 2013. Our total attendance for the night was 230. Our special speakers wowed us with tons of information about Bright Futures Scholarships, Magnet Schools, Career Academies, IB, AICE, Early College and Dual Enrollment programs!

* A welcome call by Ms. Smith
* Review of promotion to 9th grade, credits needed for promotion, state requirements
* EOC info by Mr. Seymore including new requirements for Algebra, Geometry, and Civics
* Accelerated Programs by Ms. Hardeman: IB, AICE, AP, Dual Enrollment, and Early College
* Wolfson High School and Wolfson IB Program
* Mandarin High School presented their ROTC, Band, Medical Academy, and AVID programs
* Sandalwood Early College Program
* Information on the high school progression plan, different types of high school diplomas, credits, and more!
* Frank H. Peterson Academy of Technology by Mr. Gregg - He also brought a flight simulator and brochures of the many tech programs offered at Peterson.
* Tutoring opportunities, summer leadership conferences, college matrix info from the SUS and more!
We had student and parent visitors from other schools, too!
