Barnes & Noble My Favorite Teacher Contest Barnes & Noble is recognizing teachers with its nationwide “My Favorite Teacher Contest.”  Middle and high school students are invited to write an essay, poem, or thank you  letter describing their favorite teacher and how he or she influenced them.  Schools will collect the entries and submit them to the nearest Barnes & Noble location.  A local winner will be entered into the regional contest for the chance to  win a $500 Barnes & Noble gift card. The regional winner moves on to the  national contest for a chance to receive $5,000 for themselves and $5,000 for their school.   Deadline: March 1
