St. Johns River Celebration 22nd Annual Cleanup

Help keep Jacksonville beautiful by participating in the St. Johns River Celebration 22nd Annual Cleanup on Saturday, March 25. Join hundreds of volunteers around Duval County by removing litter and debris from parks, boat ramps, and neighborhoods. Participants must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by an adult. BEACON Volunteers Needed

Duval County Public Schools’ BEACON (Bringing Economic And Career Opportunities Nearer) program is seeking volunteers to help high school seniors receive critical information about the college financial aid process through a personal, small group information session. The district’s School Counseling Department, which recruits and trains volunteers for this very large outreach effort, is looking for people who can attend a half-day training on Jan. 23 from 8 a.m. - noon, and commit to all sessions at the high school of their choice.
